Rain clears out in the Cajon Pass, sunshine and warmer weather ahead

CAJON PASS, Calif. (CAJONCRAWL.com) — After a rainy start to the day, the rain has started to clear out in the Cajon Pass.

The Friday morning commute was a wet one for many motorists who traveled along the I-15 freeway in the pre-dawn hours.

No major accidents or hazards were reported as a result of the year’s first winter storm.

According to the National Weather Service, the highest rain total as of 4:30 am was reported at Glen Helen Regional Park with 0.74″.

Victor Valley resident, Dion Ayala, drove down the pass at about 7:30 am and said traffic was light and running smoothly. Dion also shared some photos of the low clouds that made for a beautiful sight.

The NWS forecast shows a high of 55 degrees on Saturday and 50 degrees on Sunday, and partly cloudy both days.
