SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (CAJONCRAWL.com) — A woman was taken into custody after leading officers on a wrong-way pursuit on the 215 freeway Thursday morning.
According to scanner traffic, at about 10:27 the vehicle, a four-door silver Kia sedan was driving the wrong way at slow speeds on the southbound 215 freeway, near the I-10 interchange.
The vehicle made a u-turn and was briefly traveling in the correct direction before making another u-turn and driving the wrong way on the shoulder of the freeway.
During the pursuit, the woman called 911 and was on the phone with dispatchers and saying she was afraid to stop and that someone was trying to kill her.
After several erratic movements from the female driver, the vehicle eventually yielded just before 11:00 am and the woman was taken into custody.
The female told officers she was dropped off at Van Buren Blvd and Trautwein Road and that’s where she stole the vehicle.
No injuries were reported and the woman’s identity was not available for release.
